I had hoped to post about game dev, but sadly I need to highlight a situation that accurately represents the current condition of our game & software industry with AI. This is between Kenney (game asset creator, gives so much for free to the community) and Tim Sweeney (Epic Games CEO).

Don't let billionaires convince you slop is the future. They're used to managing & directing, not making things themselves. Of course they can't see the difference. They don't understand your love for the craft. Keep making personal, beautiful games.

- Tim Sweeney, the CEO of Epic Games, comes out of nowhere, bragging about his own skill and accomplishments. He says Kenney's take is ****, and calls Kenney's expectations of AI higher. (link)
That's it. A harmless post from someone who does a lot for the community, getting completely bulldozed by the CEO of Epic Games.
